parents. Most of the materials can be found right in your house. Kids will love creating the costume
and playing in it.
Making the costumes will help kids use their imagination and to be very creative.
Costumes can be used for all sorts of play and used throughout the year not just Halloween.

Make armor for your little knight out of fruit trays.
Use your old sheets and pillow cases for something besides dust collecting. Learn how to make feet out of
old paper bags.
These projects will be simple enough for your kids to do by themselves. Think about the feeling of
accomplishment when your kids shows you the costume project that they made themselves.
This will give your child an opportunity for self expression. The children can dress up in a way they
never get to do. I don't know of any kids that don't like dressing up.
